I have had fibromyalgia for years and had a brainstem stroke in 2015 from a staph infection caused from having stem cell injections in my neck. I always blamed falling and the weakness symptoms I was having on them. It was after hiking up a trail, my legs turned to rubber and felt my feet were in cement. I needed help getting back to car knew something was really wrong. In September 2017, after a muscle biopsy I found out I had myositis, then a short time later I was officially diagnosed with Necrotizing Autoimmune Myopathy (NAM).
