    Register and submit questions for
Myositis, Immunosuppressants and COVID Vaccine Response,
a webinar on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 3:00 PM Eastern Time

This event has been updated to add additional information and special guests!

We are hosting a panel of John Hopkins physician researchers from the Myositis Center including Caoilfhionn Connolly, MD, MSc, Lisa Christopher-Stine, MD, MDS, and Julie Paik, MD, MHS, who will be presenting their brand-new results on COVID vaccine responses in myositis patients, and they are taking your questions.

Joining the Myositis Center team and their main collaborator on the study is Dorry Segev, MD PhD, Director, Epidemiology Research Group in Organ Transplantation (ERGOT), Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Segev’s team at ERGOT is studying the antibody levels in transplant patients to determine if a third vaccine could help these immunocompromised patients.

Moderating this session will be MSU’s Medical Advisor, Salman Bhai, MD, and Jerry Williams, founder and president of MSU, who is also a patient living with myositis.

The investigators have now enrolled 275 patients with myositis receiving different therapies who have had their COVID vaccine. Researchers have found important information about which medications interfere with the COVID vaccine’s immune response. They will present this information during our webinar and then answer patient questions.

This information is important for patients currently receiving different types of immunosuppression medications and Disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARD) for different types of myositis. This is of special interest to those who have not had a follow-up antibody test after their COVID vaccine.

Visit the event webpage to learn more about these physician researchers and the great work they are doing in the myositis community. You will also find the link to register. Submit your questions by entering them in the Questions and Comments area. Visit http://bit.ly/myositis-covidvax-webinar to get started.
